Central Queens Food Pantry - Fall
Overview:
The pantry stocks various non-perishable and perishable grocery items that support local families who are in need.
Volunteers will assist with:
- Bagging food and package preparation for clients to pick up
- Stocking shelves
- Assisting pantry staff with clients as they arrive and check-in
- Organizing grocery items and boxes when food deliveries arrive to the pantry
PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes while at the pantry and must be able to comfortably lift and carry packages that are 30 lbs+

Please do your best to commit to the shift(s) you have signed up to volunteer. Our programs, staff and clients are depending on your help to receive, sort, package and distribute our food deliveries at the pantry. If you need to cancel, we request that you give us enough time to find a replacement volunteer for your slot.

CLOTHING DONATIONS ARE NEEDED! Do you have new or barely worn clothing in your closet to donate? Please bring them along when you come to volunteer so we can distribute to our community in need. Thanks so much!
